Follow these tips when choosing your cosmetic surgeon:

Board certified is often better. Select a doctor who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Why? This means that the doctor has completed specialized training in cosmetic surgery and has passed rigorous written and oral exams to earn certification.
Experience counts. How long has your surgeon been performing this procedure? Is he or she using the latest technique? Has the surgeon obtained special training in the use of this technique or new technology? How many procedures has the doctor performed? In general, the more experience the physician has in performing a certain procedure, the better the results.
Communication is crucial. Do you feel comfortable being open with your surgeon? Have your questions been answered? Have you been informed of possible risks, side effects, and recovery time associated with the cosmetic procedure?

In Depth Data:

A facelift, technically known as a rhytidectomy (literally, surgical removal of wrinkles), is a type of cosmetic surgery procedure used to give a more youthful appearance. It usually involves the removal of excess facial skin, with or without the tightening of underlying tissues, and the redraping of the skin on the patient’s face and neck.

Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, improves the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both.

Nose Surgery

Nose surgery, or rhinoplasty, is sometimes referred to as “nose reshaping” or a “nose job.” It can improve the appearance and proportion of your nose, or correct a breathing problem associate with the nose.

Brow Lift

Also known as a forehead lift, a brow lift minimizes the creases that develop across the forehead, or those that occur high on the bridge of the nose; improves what are commonly referred to as frown lines; and repositions a low or sagging brow.

Facial Implants

Facial implants bring balance and better proportion to the structural appearance of your face. If you are bothered by a small chin, weak jaw or lack of facial contour, plastic surgery with facial implants may benefit you.

Injectable Fillers

As we move down the ladder of life, we find our skin transgress into a diminishing form with wrinkles and folds appearing all over. Where earlier this was an accepted sign of aging, now you have easy ways to stop it from happening to you using simple dermal injectable fillers.

Skin Resurfacing

Skin rejuvenation and resurfacing can be achieved in a number of ways, ranging from laser, light and other energy-based treatments to chemical peels and other non-ablative methods.

Breast Augmentation

Also known as augmentation mammaplasty, breast augmentation involves using implants to fulfill your desire for fuller breasts or to restore breast volume lost after weight reduction or pregnancy.

Breast Lift

Breast lift, or mastopexy, surgery raises and firms the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour.

Gynecomastia or Gynaecomastia, is the abnormal development of large mammary glands in males resulting in breast enlargement. The condition can occur physiologically in neonates (due to female hormones from the mother), in adolescence, and in the elderly (Both in adolescence and elderly it is an abnormal condition associated with disease or metabolic disorders). In adolescent boys the condition is often a source of distress, but for the large majority of boys whose pubescent gynecomastia is not due to obesity, the breast development shrinks or disappears within a couple of years.

Tummy Tuck

A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, removes excess fat and skin, and in most cases restores weakened or separated muscles creating an abdominal profile that is smoother and firmer.

Spider Veins

Sclerotherapy involves the injection of a solution into each affected vein, causing the vein to collapse and fade.

Liposuction, also known as lipoplasty (“fat modeling”), liposculpture suction lipectomy or simply lipo (“suction-assisted fat removal”) is a cosmetic surgery operation that removes fat from many different sites on the human body. Areas affected can range from the abdomen, thighs and buttocks, to the neck, backs of the arms and elsewhere.
